On this 5-day journey, you will:

Experience the thrill of whitewater kayaking on the Arkansas River, navigating exciting class 1, 2, and 3 rapids!
Experience the sport of bikepacking along the legendary Colorado Trail!

INTINERAY:
Day 1: Arrival
Please fly into Montrose Regional Airport by 1:00pm! BE can meet you there! Driving? Meet the gang at our hot springs resort in Buena Vista, CO by 4:00pm. There, we will have our team welcome dinner, introductions, discuss our journey’s itinerary, and prep gear and food! Meals included = Dinner. Accommodations = Hot Springs Resort. Miles = 0.
Day 2: Upward-Bound!
Today our adventure begins! After coffee and breakfast, we’ll hop on our mountain bikes and ride upward to our mountain’s trailhead via the 500-mile Colorado Trail; all gear in tow! Welcome to The Good Life! Meals included = Lunch & Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = 10.
Day 3: Summit-Bound!
Good early alpine morning! After coffee and breakfast, we’ll ascend of our famed Colorado 14r for a summit sunrise! Congratulations on standing atop one of Colorado’s highest mountains! Welcome to The High Life! After summit celebrations, we’ll hike our way back down to camp, pack up, and then ride downhill to our river! Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = 4 on the feet; 15 on the bike.
Day 4: River-Bound!
Good morning! Let’s sip our coffee then meet our kayak guides to ride our section of the Arkansas River - class 1, 2, & 3 rapids! Welcome to The Best Life! Cold and wet? Let’s ride back to our hot springs to soak and celebrate! Meals included: Breakfast & Lunch. Accommodations = Hot Springs Resort. Miles = 10 on the kayak; 15 on the bike.
Day 5: Departure!
All good things must come to an end but not before we soak in the hot springs one last time! Post-soak, coffee, and breakfast we’ll part ways! Driving back to Montrose Regional Airport with BE? It’s a 3-hour drive so be sure to book your flight for no earlier than 4:00pm! Until next time, friends! And thank you for exploring Colorado the most epic way with us! Meals included: Lunch. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
Journeyers who cancel their journey 90+ days before the start date will be refunded the total amount minus processing fees and the $500 non-refundable deposit.
Journeyers who cancel their journey 30 to 90 days before the start state will be refunded half the total amount minus processing fees.
Journeyers who cancel their journey less than 30 days before the start date will not be refunded.
Participants who choose to leave an active journey for any reason are not entitled to a refund. Due to the nature and heavy costs of operating permits, BE must adhere to the above itinerary and refund policy.
