OVERVIEW:
Journey to the Land Down Under to stand atop Australia’s highest mountain - Mount Kosciuszko! Located in the famous Snowy Mountains, this Seven Summit rises to 7,310’ and requires two days of hiking. Our custom route is no out-and-back. We intentionally ascend the most scenic route and descend the most fun route - on a ski gondola! This 6-day journey includes four hotels nights, one camping night, a nature preserve on the front-end to see Koalas and Kangaroos, a celebratory spirit tour on the back-end, and a once-in-a-lifetime trek to the highest mountain in Australia! ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival to Canberra
Welcome to the Land Down Under! We had quite the flight so today, BE will pick you up at Canberra Airport and we will head straight to the hotel for some relaxation! Tonight we will enjoy a team welcome dinner and discuss the week ahead! Total miles = 0. Accommodations = Hotel. Included meals = Dinner.
Day 2: Kangaroos & Koalas
Today, you will continue to recover from a mega long flight, visit Australia’s wildlife in their natural habitat, and sleep in Thredbo; a ski resort town located on Mount Kosciuszko - Australia’s highest mountain! This evening we will organize our gear! Total miles = 0. Accommodations = Hotel. Included meals = Breakfast.
Day 3: Mount Kosciuszko
Good morning! Today we begin our trek into Australia’s wilderness via the Main Range. With a grand total ascent of nine miles and 2,700’ elevation gain to the summit, tonight we’ll camp about halfway up! Along the way, we’ll ford the Snowy River and break at alpine lakes. Total miles = 4.5. Accommodations = Tent. Included meals = Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner.
Day 4: Summit Day!
Good early morning! Today is a big day as we make our way up one of the Earth’s famed Seven Summits! Celebrations will be had at the summit and so will lunch! Post-summit success, we will descend via the Kosciusko Walk for four miles. At four miles we will encounter a chair lift! And because we deserve it, we’ll kick up our feet and ride that baby down for 15 minutes, taking in the awe-inspiring views of the Snowy Mountains. The chair lift will drop us off at our Thredbo hotel for night. Sweet dreams, my friends, and CONGRATULATIONS! Total miles = 8.5. Accommodations = Hotel. Included meals = Breakfast & Lunch.
Day 5: Celebratory Spirit Tour
Today we’ll head back to Canberra for our last full day in Australia and along the way we’ll celebrate our summit at an Aussie winery, brewery, or distillery - your choice! Total miles = 0. Accommodations = Hotel. Included meals = Breakfast.
Day 6: Departure
Good LAST morning! Today we depart Australia for our homelands! BE will drive you to the airport. But, before we do we just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for spending six days of your life with us and thank you for trusting us on a SEVEN SUMMIT! Congratulations again!

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:
There are no refunds for the deposit. Additionally, there are no refunds for expeditions that conclude without reaching the summit due to route conditions, weather, insufficient manpower, or any other factor outside the control of BE.
Expedition leader has the final say on the expedition conclusion and will make all best efforts towards reaching the summit within our margin of safety.
Participants that choose to leave an active expedition for any reason are not entitled to any refunds
Due to the nature and heavy costs of government and operator permits, BELAY EXPEDITIONS must adhere to a stringent refund policy.
WHAT TO EXPECT POST-PAYMENT:
Once you place your deposit or pay in full, BELAY EXPEDITIONS will send you a confirmation email as well as monthly emails with information and reminders. This includes flight information, passport, visa, physical training, gear and clothing purchases, etc. Seven Summits require a lot of work on the front-end so BE breaks everything down into monthly baby steps.
