Begin with a shared morning adventure—choose from ice climbing, ice or fly fishing, packrafting, mountain climbing, or casual mountain biking. Then reach your backcountry yurt by snowshoe (winter/spring) or hike (summer/fall) and enjoy two restorative nights in a wood‑stove–warmed yurt with a simple kitchen and sleeping cots that can be tucked together.
Cozy up by the wood stove, sip drinks, soak in views of 14,000’ peaks, leisurely savor morning coffee, set personal and couple goals, nap, and enjoy a candlelit dinner. ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival, Outdoor Activity, & Backcountry Yurt
Welcome to Lake City! Meet at the BE shop at 7:30 AM for an itinerary overview! Your selected outdoor adventure will wrap up around noon. Afterward, feel free to grab lunch before returning to the BE shop to collect yurt gear and prepped meals. From there, you’ll drive to the backcountry yurt trailhead and hike or snowshoe approximately 1.25 miles to the yurt. Once you arrive, build a cozy fire, unpack your gear, melt snow for water, and relax until dinner. Welcome to The Good Life!

Day 2: Backcountry Yurt & Couple Goals
Good morning — savor the percolated coffee, the warm sunrise through the yurt windows, and a slow wakeup. There’s no rush today; with nowhere to be, you can simply enjoy the scenery and the uninterrupted time together. If you like, work on your personal and couple-goals worksheet. Day 3: Departure
It’s your last morning at the yurt — sad! We hope you loved it as much as we do! Check-out is at 11:00 a.m., so after making your way back down to the trailhead, please stop by the BE shop to return any gear. After that, your “official” couples retreat is over and you’re free to explore Lake City and its beautiful surroundings however you wish. Thank you for letting BE help you prioritize each other. Fly into Gunnison or Montrose. BE can pick you up at Gunnison if desired. Book your return flight for no earlier than 4:00 PM on Day 3.
Driving? Meet BE in Lake City on Day 1 at 7:30 AM. Yurt checkout on Day 3 is at 11:00 AM.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
Individuals who cancel their retreat 90+ days before the start date will be refunded the total amount minus processing fees and the $500 non-refundable deposit.
Individuals who cancel their retreat 30 to 90 days before the start state will be refunded half the total amount minus processing fees.
Individuals who cancel their retreat less than 30 days before the start date will not be refunded.
Individuals who choose to leave an active retreat for any reason are not entitled to a refund. Due to the nature and heavy costs of operating permits, BE must adhere to the above itinerary and refund policy.
