On this 7-day journey, you will hike four days in the high mountains of Colorado to summit a famed fourteener, sleep four peaceful nights in The Great Outdoors, kayak one day on the Arkansas River, then restore and celebrate in a hot springs resort! Day 1: Arrival
Flying in? BE can pick you up at Montrose Regional Airport at 1:00pm! Driving? Meet BE in our mountain town hotel at 4:00pm! This evening, we will rest, enjoy a team welcome dinner, and discuss our itinerary as well as prep gear! Tomorrow, our journey up the mountain begins! Meals included = Dinner. Accommodations = Hotel. Miles = 0.
Day 2: Waterfalls
Good morning! After breakfast, we’ll begin our ascent of our famed fourteener! Tonight, we sleep near waterfalls! Welcome to high mountains of Colorado! Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = 3.
Day 3: Alpine Lake
Good leisure morning! Soak up that sun and sip that coffee slowly! Today we keep heading up the mountain to a lake that offers 360 degree views. Once there, we’ll pitch camp lakeside! Now that’s the good life! Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = 4.
Day 4: Alpine Livin’
Let’s keep moving up the mountain today as we strive to pitch camp at 13,000’! If you love the alpine zone then today will be one of your favorite days! Welcome to the high life! Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = 4.
Day 5: Summit Day!
Good EARLY morning! Let’s catch that sunrise on the summit! Once at that the summit, we’ll take in those views and perhaps do a celebration dance with a celebratory spirit! With the hard work behind us, afterward we’ll work our way down the mountain do set up one last camp at the trailhead! Hey…CONGRATULATIONS on summiting of our country’s highest mountains! You really can do anything one step at at time! Meals included = Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = 9.
Day 6: Whitewater Kayaking
Good morning! Let’s switch gears and head to the river for a much needed celebratory thrill! New to kayaking? No worries! We’ll meet our professional and licensed kayak guides this morning and follow their lead as we paddle and steer our inflatable kayaks down the class 1, 2, & 3 rapids of the Arkansas River! A little chilly post ride? Let’s go check in to our hot springs resort! You’re welcome, you deserve this! Meals included = Breakfast & Lunch. Accommodations = Hot Spring Resort. Miles = 0.
Day 7: Departure
All good things must come to an end but not before we soak in our hot springs one last time this morning! Post-soak, coffee, and breakfast we’ll part ways! Driving back to Montrose Regional Airport with BE? It’s a 3-hour drive so be sure to book your flight for no earlier than 4:00pm! Until next time, friends! CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
Journeyers who cancel their journey 90+ days before the start date will be refunded the total amount minus processing fees and the $500 non-refundable deposit.
Journeyers who cancel their journey 30 to 90 days before the start state will be refunded half the total amount minus processing fees.
Journeyers who cancel their journey less than 30 days before the start date will not be refunded.
Participants who choose to leave an active journey for any reason are not entitled to a refund. Due to the nature and heavy costs of operating permits, BE must adhere to the above itinerary and refund policy.
