Sunday, Day 1: Arrival!

Welcome to Colorado! BE will meet you at the Denver airport by 3:00pm. From there, we’ll head to the hotel for our team welcome dinner, gear prep, and an itinerary overview. Let the Good Life commence! Included meals = Dinner. Accommodation = Hotel. Miles = 0.

Monday, Day 2: Off we go!

The beautiful thing about thru-hiking or backpacking is that we just hike. No solid destination in mind except our end point. Today, we’ll warm up our legs with about five miles and the only place we know we’ll camp for certain is under the stars and in our tents! Included meals = Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = ~5.

Tuesday, Day 3: First glorious morning on trail!

Good leisure morning! Sleep in, feel the sun on your face, sip that coffee! And only after all of that will we pack up and hit the trail. Today, we will increase our miles just a smidge to about seven. But who knows where that will take us? Included meals = Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = ~7.

Wednesday, Day 4: We’re in it now!

And it’s too late to turn around! You know another great thing about thru-hiking or backpacking? There’s no 14,000’ summit to get to by noon! Which means, there’s no alarm clock! Today, our only job is to cover nine miles-ish! Included meals = Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = ~9.

Thursday, Day 5: Last full day on trail!

But that’s sad so we don’t want to think about that. Let’s enjoy every mile today in the Colorado high county as we crush our first double digit day! Included meals = Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = ~11.

Friday, Day 6: Nero!

The thru-hiking world has its own language so let’s start learning it now! A Nero is a day where you pull nearly zero miles because you’re heading into town to resupply and restore! That’s us today as we end our first section of the Colorado Trail and head into Baily, CO for a proper celebratory Nero and rest day! Included meals = Breakfast and Lunch. Accommodations = Hotel. Miles = ~8.

Saturday, Day 7: Departure

Sad day but at least we got to experience a trip of a lifetime together! We will leave our Bailely hotel at 11:00am. It’s one hour to the airport so be sure to book your flight home for no earlier than 1:30pm! CONGRATULATIONS on your first section of the Colorado Trail! That’s a huge deal and BE hopes you’re proud of yourself! Until next time…Included meals = Breakfast. Accommodations = N/A. Miles = ZERO!
