Welcome to Capitol Reef National Park! This park is located in the heart of Utah and features red rock canyons, narrows, slot canyons, waterfalls, cathedrals, Navajo domes, natural arches and bridges, plus more! This park is Belay’s favorite and she is stoked to share it with you!
Each private experience is different because each individual is different! Upon booking, Belay will reach out for an initial consultation. To curate the best experience for you, she’ll want to know how many miles you’re wanting per day, what features you’re wanting to see, what goals you’re wanting to achieve, and what feelings you’re wanting to leave with. An itinerary for someone seeking an epic physical challenge over as much terrain as possible is very different from someone seeking a leisure experience full of solitude, restoration, and escape! Belay will also reach out one week prior to your private journey for updates and fine-tuning!
To reserve a private journey for you or your party, please select quantity of people, how many days you’re wanting to hike, whether or not you’re renting gear, if you’re opting for a shuttle to-and-from your chosen airport, and if you’d prefer BE to book you stellar accommodations for the night before your journey and the night after your journey! You will enter your dates at checkout. Please note, all private journeys are first come first serve. Wondering if your dates are available? Check out our calendar! If the date is blank, the date is yours!

Selecting two days = 1 night camping
Selecting three days = 2 nights camping
Selecting four days = 3 night camping, so on and so forth!
For journey requests over 7 days (which we love), please contact us!
To stay in a hotel each night, please contact us!

Registration deadline = BE requires a two-week notice
A $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your dates is welcomed at checkout. After placing your deposit, BE will email you about your preferred payment plan. The deposit is applied to your overall balance. No worries, there's no interest, added fees, or credit checks. BE Simple!

Friendly, local, knowledgeable guides and most definitely Belay
All meals, snacks, and beverages on trail
All hiking and camping fees.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED:
Guide gratuity. 10% is customary.
Snacks, beverages, meals, and souvenirs bought in town.
RENTAL GEAR:
Renting gear? You can rent at checkout! All of your backpacking gear needs to fit inside your pack so check out the Gear List! Joining BE for just one day? No specialized gear needed.
AIRPORTS:
BE can pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Here are four airports to choose from:
Salt Lake City International Airport (probably the most affordable @ 3 hours away)
Canyonlands Regional Airport (closest airport but probably most expensive @ 2 hours away)
Provo Regional Airport (close and affordable if you can fly in to it @ 2.5 hours away)
Grand Junction Regional Airport (3 hours away)
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
Journeyers who cancel their journey 90+ days before the start date will be refunded the total amount minus processing fees and the $500 non-refundable deposit.
Journeyers who cancel their journey 30 to 90 days before the start state will be refunded half the total amount minus processing fees.
Journeyers who cancel their journey less than 30 days before the start date will not be refunded.
Participants who choose to leave an active journey for any reason are not entitled to a refund. Due to the nature and heavy costs of operating permits, BE must adhere to the above itinerary and refund policy.
