ITINERARY:
Day 1: Into the wilderness we go, to lose our minds and find our souls.
Welcome, BE will meet you in Mountain View, WY at 7:00am. Flying? BE can meet you at the airport! In Mountain View, we’ll prep gear, cover logistics, and divvy up food. Afterward, we will head to our trailhead! Today, we’ll cover seven miles with the majority being in an aspen and evergreen forest. We’ll set up camp in Henry’s Fork Basin surrounded by the magical Uinta mountains. If we’re feeling good, we’ll pitch camp by an alpine lake. Included meals = Lunch & Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = 7.
Day 2: What seems so far away is often right around the corner.
Good morning! Sip some coffee and soak up the early summer warmth! Today is a more leisure day as we continue our way deep into the Uinta’s. Today’s route takes us to alpine lakes, up and over mountain passes, then around the bend to an up close and personal view of Kings Peak. Today’s goal is to simply get closer to Kings. Included meals = Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Accommodations = Tent. Miles = 8.
Day 3: These views? This feeling? For Kings.
Good EARLY morning! Today is YOUR day! And we’re going to wake up really early so we can make it as perfect as possible! We have a 1-mile stretch of uphill boulder hopping. It’ll take some time but at the end of the boulder hopping is our summit! Congratulations on an epic feat and a beautiful journey toward the sky! After our summit, we’ll head back down toward Henry’s Fork via Yellowstone Basin. Tonight is our last night in The Great Outdoors, incredibly bittersweet. Included meals = Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Miles = 10.
Day 4:Going to the mountains was going home:
We part ways today, after about a seven mile hike through the forest. I guess we’re homeward-bound although we would argue that we’ve been home for the last four days. Once at the trailhead, we’ll eat lunch and say our goodbyes. Unless BE is taking you to the airport. In that case, we have about 2.5 more hours together! Until next time, friends! Thank you for experiencing BE’s favorite place with us. Cheers! Included meals = Breakfast & Lunch. Accommodations = N/A. Miles 7.
LOGISTICS:
Flying? BE requests flying in-and-out of Salt Lake City International Airport. BE can meet you at the airport or your nearby hotel for pickup! We recommend booking your return flight for Sunday night or Monday, the day after our time on the mountain ends. Though we strive to be off the mountain by 3:00pm on Sunday, weather, group needs, and traffic can greatly effect Sunday’s itinerary.
Driving? Meet BE in Mountain View, Wyoming by 7:00am on Thursday!
