ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival to Canberra

Welcome to the Land Down Under! We had quite the flight so today, BE will pick you up at Canberra Airport and we will head straight to the hotel for some relaxation! Our Aussie festivities start tomorrow!

Day 2: Kangaroos & Koalas!

Good morning! Today we are headed to the mountain but along the way we will visit Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve to see Australia’s wildlife in their natural habitat! Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabies and Platypuses are just a few on the list! Tonight, we sleep in Thredbo; a ski resort town located on Mount Kosciuszko - Australia’s highest mountain! Total miles = 0. Accommodations = Hotel. Included meals = Breakfast.

Day 3: Mount Kosciuszko

Good morning! Today we begin our trek into Australia’s wilderness via the Main Range. With a grand total ascent of nine miles and 2,700’ elevation gain to the summit, tonight we’ll camp halfway at Wilkinsons Creek. Along the way, we’ll ford the Snowy River and break at alpine lakes. Total miles = 4.5. Accommodations = Tent. Included meals = Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner.

Day 4: Summit Day!

Good early morning! Today is a big day as we make our way up one of the Earth’s famed Seven Summits! Celebrations will be had at the summit and so will lunch! Post-summit success, we will descend via the Thredbo route for four miles. At four miles we will encounter a chair lift! And because we deserve it, we’ll kick up our feet and ride that baby down for 15 minutes, taking in the awe-inspiring views of the Snowy Mountains and our Mount Kosciuszko. The chair lift will drop us off at our Thredbo hotel for night. Sweet dreams, my friends, and CONGRATULATIONS! Total miles = 8.5. Accommodations = Hotel. Included meals = Breakfast & Lunch.

Day 5: Contingency Day + Spirit Tour

Since Mount Kosciuszko is the highest mountain in Australia, it can create its own weather! And just in case we get booted off the mountain on day 3 or 4, we’ll attempt again on day 5! If no contingency day is needed, we’ll head back to Canberra in the morning for our last full day in Australia. An optional brewery, winery, and distillery tour is available! Total miles = 0. Accommodations = Hotel. Included meals = Breakfast.

Day 6: Departure

Good LAST morning! Today we depart Australia for our homelands! BE will drive you to the airport. But, before we do we just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for spending six days of your life with us and thank you for trusting us on a SEVEN SUMMIT! Congratulations again!
